i just reallllly haven't been having time to blog.
the only reason i'm on the computer is because of this report on Congestive Heart Failure that i have to finish.
so i guess i'll give you another update.

-a week away from level 4 in school. (5 levels altogether) more than halfway finish.

-still no new phone. my speaker is going out on my sidekick too. i have to bang on it in order to hear anything. fuckkkk it.

-still at starbux.

- =( kacie and aleydah may be leaving soon. leaving to stay w/ their grandmother. =( that's gonna be a sad sadd saddd day.

- i realllly want a new phone. this whole sidekick shindig isn't as cracked up as it seems to be. i need a steak upgrade.

- today, i changed a rectal bag & as soon as i cleaned dude up he decided to take a shitt.. EVERYWHERE ! and guess who had to clean it up? yup .. me .. who's idea was it to become a nurse? jk.. i cant wait til i graduate in novemmber.

- i got a new camera. & it is sooo cracked up to it's expectations. =)

- lashaun's little 7 year old cousin gave alllll these clothes and toys to aleydah. & we are sooo grateful. thanx lashaun. no , thanx aleyse.

I HATE when dumb people brake for nooooooo apparent reason. there's no one in front of you, the light's been green for a minute, & there's nooo traffic. i guess some people think that if they aren't accelerating then they must brake. that isn't necessary at all. just take your foot completely off both pedals and ride with the flow of traffic. stupid hoes. =)

...but yeah, don't mess with me while i'm driving cause i get reallly tempted to hit things & one day, it may just be your car if i see those unnecessary brake lights.

i know it's been a minute but i've been really busy lately. i wouldn't even consider it busy, let's just say i haven't had time for the entire internet get-down. so bare w/ me. i love you. =) just gimme a couple days.

i saw this cat on the tyra show one night & decided to youtube him. & quite frankly, i find him to be very amusing.

her life.

So I was at my clinical site today (convalescent home), where my classmates and I have the responsibilty of passing medications to each patient and I saw something that really grabbed my attention. An RN had insisted we watch him insert an IV into a patient who was extrememly dehydrated and had very bad skin turgor. So we watched him and he informed us that she was a hospice patient.

-a hospice patient is one who usually has a terminal disease or illness; meaning that life is coming to an end soon.

Anywho, he talked and talked before actually inserted the IV and right before he did, the patient asked him when we would be removing her soiled linen and clothes. Her hands shook as she attempted to lift her gown to show us but the task was a little too much for her. She lay uncomfortably in her bed with her legs cocked in one direction and chin pointed to the ceiling, never really taking a glimpse at the students watching before her.

Drifting off, I thought of what she was thinking in her head. What kinds of dreams does she dream about? Did she have any regrets? I immediately felt sad. Sad that there was no one there with her. No flowers. No pictures. Just her. Lying there, immobile.

But then I thought about everything else. Maybe she lived a good life. Maybe she had children who were going to visit her later on today. Maybe they would bring flowers. Maybe they would say some words of encouragement to comfort her. Maybe things aren't so bad for her after all.

...Then my mind swayed again.

As the nurse inserted the IV and injected the medication, her frail vein ruptured due to her dehydration.

She was okay though.

But I still wonder what procedures facilities like this one do to comfort patients and ensure that the quality of life is preserved.

During the past 5 days, I've had Pinkberry about 5 times. That's about 25 buckaroos that could've been in my gas tank seeing I have to drive all the way to Sepulveda. But at this point, I'll do anything to feed my addiction.

It all started when my friends from school (photo'd in the blog about casa loma) insisted we go there for lunch. & OMG it was soooo good. lol. Apparently, it's been around for a while, but I'm just a late bloomer. =)

so many terms, so many body parts, so many words ! omg . sometimes, i wish i had just stayed in atlanta because things were so much easier & i had way more fun. but now, i'm really a grown up. growing and maturing with a ton of new responsibilities. & i'm not knocking anyone's hustle, but my "educational" time in atlanta was a complete waste of time indeed.

but yeah .. shit's dope in the long run. really worth all the hard work. so i'm trying to stay motivated despite the numerous accounts of distractions i face everyyyy fuckkkiing day ! but yeah, i needed a post something because a particular snotthead has been on my head .. lol .. til' next time ..
